June 2009:

New 1-Strand torch cutting machine for a slab casting plant brought in to operation in Brazil

GeGa supplied a complete machine including electrical control, measuring device, travelling rails, sample torch and on-site control desk.

The new machine cuts slabs of thicknesses between 220 and 250 mm and widths between 800 and 2.100 mm with a casting speed up to 1,65 m/min.

The steel grades range from steels with low carbon content up to high-strength low alloyed steels.
