Commissioning

directly on site by our specialist personnel

Monitoring of production
during commissioning
by GeGa experts

Production

After installation and the successful passing of final installation inspections, commissioning of the plant commences.

Personnel are deployed depending on the complexity of the plant. For some plants it may be necessary to deploy several specialists from the fields of mechanical engineering, electric/ electronic engineering, gas engineering and hydraulics.

As during installation, to ensure smooth, trouble-free processes we choose the service personnel who are best qualified to conduct on-site commissioning work for you.

Commissioning of a cut-to-length line

Successful first casting

Our personnel keeps on top of their field with continuous further training.

To keep commissioning times as short as possible, systems are subjected to a workshop test on our premises immediately after completion. Therefore on-site work can be confined to plant-specific adjustments.

After successful testing of the components, sensor systems and the drive engineering we perform a “cold test” whereby the production process is simulated. This will generally be done in collaboration with your own process control engineering specialists.

Plant monitoring

Simultaneously, your production and maintenance personnel will be trained by our service experts.

After a successful cold test things warm up as we come to the “hot test”.

Cold Commisioning by GeGa experts

At this stage any necessary production-specific modification work is carried out, while our specialists monitor the production process and provide your personnel with advice and assistance.

Commissioning is documented and finalised by signing the transfer/acceptance report after the successful completion of a performance test demonstrating compliance with the performance parameters laid down in the contract.

And naturally you’re not on your own afterwards. You will continue to be looked after by our service department to ensure that you enjoy the highest possible levels of plant availability and safety.
