The modern cutting technique

The SOA cutting technique is characterised by fast, efficient cuts coupled with low gas & oxygen consumption.

Autogenous torch cutting of steel with gaseous oxygen and cutting pressures up to 18 bar. This requires a correspondingly higher initial pressure (+2 bar minimum) at the entrance to the machine.

  • COA-500 heavy duty cutting torch
  • Series BOA 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 heavy duty cutting nozzles
  • Gas supply up to 18 bar

FEATURES:

  • Heating flame uses a mix of heating gas and heating oxygen
  • Cutting jet of 99.5%-pure oxygen

SPECIAL FEATURES:

  • Optimum use of available O2 pressure
  • Very high cutting speed
  • Narrow kerf
  • Short thread
  • Fast nozzle changing
  • Easy to operate
  • Easy nozzle changing

APPLICATIONS:

  • all standard steel qualities
  • Cutting thickness up to 500 mm
  • Kerf thickness 5.5 – 7 mm

CUTTING SPEED:

  • Approx. 530 mm/min at a material thickness of 200 mm,
  • Temperature 900°C and carbon equivalent of 0.3%.
