Cutting steel by hand

GeGa hand-cutting safety torch

As well as our tried-and-tested GeGa fixed and portable cutting machines, we also supply an application-based range of hand-operated cutting torches.

All hand-operated devices are designed with protection against flashback because they use the injection principle whereby the gases are not mixed until they reach the cutting nozzle.

The triangular arrangement of the low-wear and tear, rust-free gas feed pipes between the control valve and nozzle seat ensures that the equipment is robust and prevents torsion. These features are of particular importance in the rugged conditions prevailing in iron and steel work.

Locating the control valve for heating gas and oxygen between the handle and nozzle seat prevents the gases coming into contact with the operators’ clothing in the event of a leak.

Water-cooled hand-operated cutting torches are also available on request.
